 Poetry In Motion

The 1936 Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic
Price: $30 - $40 million
Sold by: Gooding and Co.
Year of Sale: 2010
After being sold at an auction in California for about $30 million, this sleek, curved vintage Bugatti became one of the world’s most expensive cars. Widely known for being one of only three of its kind ever produced, the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic is also praised for its art-deco elegance. Considered to be highly avant garde, this particular car came on the market following the death of its owner, Peter Williamson, a well known car collector and a neurologist.

As a child I had a saying I often used "Poetry In Motion" Is what I would say whenever I saw true beauty. It had a very broad range of definition from a beautiful woman as she walked totally unaware of the secret admiration to a magnificent one of a kind piece of Architecture such as the Chrysler Building.

The Ferrai Testarossa - One Of A Kind

A True Red Head Remembered...

In 1984 at the Paris Motor Show the Ferrari Testarossa is unveiled to the world. The name Testarossa means “Red Head” which seemed to fit perfect as Red would become the color it would be synonymous with.

Succumbing to an immediate overwhelming reaction the Testarossa was an instant smashing success. Initially it was intended as a replacement for the Ferrari BB 512i but it quickly grew into a class of its own. As orders for the “new” Ferrari skyrocketed throughout its initial year. The car only became more and more popular. Making appearances one the front on most major automobile magazines and even a few cameos on TV. Seen as an immediate upgrade on anything before Ferrari had hit the nail on the head with this Red Head. Very seldom does a car generate as much attention as the Testarossa did in its first few years of production. It was ultimately the 1980's “car to have”.

Volkswagen - A Company Deep In Tradition Rich With History

Volkswagen -How great products mold a great company

Starting from from humble war-torn beginnings Volkswagen would ride the backs of three initial vehicles to become a world-wide leader in the automotive industry. The new Beetle is a nice car a sight to see. Take a minute and learn about the original Beetle and the company it made possible.
Three great products to start a company behind
The Beetle – Volkswagen was founded in 1937 to manufacture what would become the World's most popular automobile the Beetle. History states the great Ferdinand Porsche was ordered by Adolf Hitler to develop a common Automobile. A car for the average person, a “people's' car. Ferdinand managed to develop several prototypes in various models over the next few years. No single model was chosen for mass-production prior to the start of WW2 in 1939.

The VW factory was completed shortly before WW2 began. It was converted for wartime use which subjugated it to immediate Allied bombings. The post-war years were difficult for Volkswagen as the bombed-out factory was now under British control producing vehicles for the British Army. A production limitation was placed on the number of cars the plant could produce. The factory endured and was slowly rebuilt. Over the next few years functionality became more and efficient as they produced an assortment of models. In 1948 the British Government handed the Volkswagen back over to the German state. Shortly after production of the “type 60” (Beetle) began.

The 20?? Bentley EXP 9F - A Distinguished Utility Vehicle

Bentley EXP 9F - A Distinguished Utility Vehicle

The world got a sneak peak at it when it came to the Geneva Motor Show back in 2012. And as expected from Bentley it exceeded everyone's expectations. The bad news is we may have to wait until 2015. The good news is that it's well worth it.

A Game Changer - Hand built at Bentley's plant in Crewe, England the EXP 9 does a perfect job of representing Bentley's signature overbearingly elegant front grill accented by round lamps sitting at each end. Accurately as it looks it is a very ambitious mode of transportation over any terrain on a Worldwide scale.

A nice overall compliment on the existing models by taking the Bentley tradition and staying within the prestige as required while producing the world's utmost Sport Utility Vehicle. The EXP 9 instantly creates an entirely new class of SUV. This transportation aimed at a highly niche'd market with highly specialized needs.

EXP 9 F – Extravagant Utility Vehicle, a concept in originality that came to reality. A proposed 4th model to stand alongside the already World famous Bentley Continental GT, Flying Spur, and the Mulsanne.
