Can you really pick this up at auction??? The Car ??? |
Federal Government Car Auctions
I'm sure you've heard many people talk about the incredible savings to be had and how cheap you can get a car, truck or SUV from Federal government auctions. I found out the vehicles themselves come from a few different places like drug and tax seizures, defaulted loans and leases, surplus inventory, repossession, fleet inventory. I would always hear about how much money was saved but never how to actually get involved. So I decided to do a little research. I found out that the vehicles were obtained under some type of default which meant that unlike car dealerships these vehicles were a liability to the Government and MUST be sold quickly to avoid the excessive storage fee's and other issues that could come from sitting inactive for such long periods of time.
My neighbor came home a few weeks ago a new truck. He was more than excited to show it to me and I have admit it was the closest I've seen to new. I asked where he purchased it from really wanting to know what he paid. He was more than happy to answer both. It turns out he'd been a member of this website called gov-auctions for the past few months. So I asked him if he thought there were some good deals in the auctions. He responded cheerfully by telling me he'd only paid $8,200 for 2010 Chevy Silverado he was showing off! I was impressed as I knew this was a $24,000 truck still in immaculate condition he hit the key and started it up, it only had 9,600 miles on it!
He admitted he was a little skeptical in using the auction to buy a vehicle. He told me that the reason he went forward had a lot to do with the fact that it was an accredited website that they had been very successful in the auction business over the past 13 years said a lot. He explained how once he became a member he had 24 Hour access to auctions all across the United States, 7 days a week. He could take his time and search through the full database of auctions and listings of available cars, trucks and SUV's at up to 90% off retail Blue Book price. I asked what really was the the deciding factor in purchasing from an auction instead of a dealership. He was glad to explain how gov-auction website offered a free CARFAX VIN report to all buyers/bidders before the auction! he told me how he appreciated the fact that there was no pressure or up-selling such as in a dealership. He said the auction was a nice open environment where you could buy what you wanted and what applied to you. The CARFAX he said, gave him the peace of mind he needed when making a major purchases such as a vehicle. I asked him was the rest of the vehicles at the auction as nice as the truck? He smiled and told me most the cars where in amazing shape, on average only 2-3 years old with anywhere between 25,000 and 40,000 miles on them! I thought to my self that's nicer than what's on most local used car lots here in town.
I was almost convinced I had only one more area of regard. Was it hard to but a vehicle at an auction? I asked him was the procedure a difficult one. He told me that it was actually quite easy. He explained that as the winning bidder you're required to pay $500 down with the rest being due in 24-48 hours. I was surprised at how easy it was and assumed it was because he was a member of the website and with membership came such privileges.
He told me that before he bought anything he attended the Free 5-day car auction tutorial - Click Here. He went on to explain how it contained a wealth of knowledge in almost every regards to vehicle auctions and will answer almost any question on the subject. So can you get a really better deal from the auction? I guess the answer would be yes since they see their vehicles as a liability instead of an asset! Quick sales unusually mean deep discounts and almost anything is possible with cash on hand. So take advantage, join the website simply by Clicking Here and start to look for the car of your dreams at the price of your dreams!
