2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 – Dedicated To My Father A Lifelong Ford Guy

So I sent my dad a copy and asked him to read it. Which he in turn abruptly mentioned the Mustang? I know right I was confused also. So I said let me take a look at Ford the Motor Company is offering for 2014, in terms of speed. I looked it up.
A little history – For so many years I had to sit back ans sympathize with my dad as Ford experimented with its Mustang. I had to sit there and watch each year as the Corvette rolled off the line and shot straight to the top of the sports car world. All the while Ford squeezed and stretched the Mustang swapped around engines (I believe at one time they even put a 4-cylinder in their “Premiere” sports car, explain that one)

Not being a real big fan of Henry's I have to admit this is a bad-ass car. Ford always was good at market research. Looks like this time they used it! This is a sports car, a sports car crafted by Ford Motor Company for the year 2014 and its up to par. We have something here we can place in the ¼ mile with confidence.

A lifelong Chevrolet gentleman truth is...this is a nice car and its fast. I mean how hard would it be to have company over and not casually or even accidentally refer to your 662 Horses in the garage? I couldn't do it even if it was my wife's great aunt, she's going hear about my '14 Mustang Shelby!

Track-tested at more than 200 Miles Per Hour (so its going on this blog based on that alone). I'm getting strong reports that this 5.8 Liter Super-Charged Aluminum Block V8 is the most powerful V8 coming off any production line in 2014. And since it was track tested at well over 200 MPH Ford jumped right out and self-proclaimed it “The most powerful production V8 on Earth” A strong sweeping claim I know but they did base it on...
  • A 5.8L DOHC 32-valve V8 engine
  • 631 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm
  • A Supercharger with inter-cooler
  • 662 pure Horsepower at 6,500 rpm
All this power is exclusively manipulated by a TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission with a 3.31:1 final drive ratio. The thing that struck me with the '14 Shelby was the proportion it was perfect the height, length and weight all perfect.

There should be no issue with slowing or stopping with Brembo rotors and calipers. Massive 14” inch vented rotors with six-piston calipers right out front.

SVT – Performance Package – I must say the performance package offered by SVT only makes a good thing better. The package includes

* TORSEN Differential
* 19” & 20” inch Painted Forged Aluminum Rims
* SVT - Tuned Suspension
* Adjustable Bilstein electronic Dampers

Personally I'm not a big “features” fan especially in Hot Rods, Sportscars Muscle Cars and such. I would rather go fast instead. But I have to say Ford managed to stick their features in the '14 Shelby in some pretty out of the way places. A nice seamless integration of technology and performance.

The 2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500...200 MPH under $60,000 I like this company and I really like this car.
It was all it had to be...fast. Everything else is extra thank goodness were past the days of the “Family” Mustang... were back to racing!

Style & Design – Looking from several angles I saw this to be a nicely sculpted piece of mechanical engineering. From seemingly all angles the car has a beautiful appearance. It looks exciting something you would want to be associated with. The lines and curves are perfectly placed as if it jumped from a canvas and roared to life. A true work of art as it is nearly impossible to get that kind of power and beauty both in the same vehicle but to also function in unisome at nearly 6,500 RPM. The interior has a cock-pit feel to it. More of a operational touch to it not the usual claustrophobic feel given by mostly sports cars once you get in. if you get a chance look at the interior its nice. I don't have enough article to accurately describe it so look at the pictures.

So just to clear the air...this is a nice car!
This I would say is fitting tribute to a man that did so much to help define American Racing and so many of its aspects. Shelby who passed just last year in 2012 I think would have approved.

The 2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 the epitome of an American relationship between a company and a man.
So if this is your year I mean when all the hard work pays off and you decide to cash in! Grab one of these beauties here. I'm more than sure they will only increase in value as limited-number instant collector's items. After all this is a Carroll Shelby product.
