Motor Trend Head To Head - A Car Lovers Dream All Hail Jonny Lieberman

Over the last few weeks I have been intently searching for any "Head to Head" videos I can find. The 20 minute Motor Trend comparative analysis show hosted by the great Jonny Liberman. Each show he does a great job of describing each and every vehicle in its own unique way. He make a great comparison with out having to be negative or condescending. Most of all he knows his stuff when it comes to cars, trucks, jeeps whatever he give manufacturer their honest just do while offering a fair unbiased analysis. He never seems to stop talking but the fluidity of his conversation is very inviting, not overwhelming or annoying like you might think. Instead you can clearly tall you have a guy here that really did manage to get his dream job. I like Jonny and can trust him, he has that trusting look about him you know the one where he's actually thrilled to be dressed by his wife earlier in the day.

The bottom line is he knows his stuff, each and every car he does an absolutely great job of bringing out the car's strong points as well as pointing out its soft spots. He really seems to speak to a driver's driver, I mean what he says is what we want to hear about the car. And as if he isn't enough he brings in his pal Pro Driver Paul, who then takes the well and commences to drive and talk pretty much the same as Jonny. Together the two seem to make a great duo that has the entire automotive industry covered. I mean I personally don't think there is a vehicle that either of them didn't know of. they are true car experts and also manage to make the comparison more of an educated choice as opposed to a forced choice. I continue to watch because even as much of an expert as I thought I was I manage to learn some really nice facts about some of my favorite vehicles, things that do make a difference in the opinion of he vehicle overall.

Again I'll say I like how Jonny does his analysis he doesn't force you to like one and hate the other. instead he lays out the pros and cons of each. Leaving you free  to chose based on the qualities of the vehicle you like instead of what you don't like on the other. The way compares braking, steering, acceleration and such really gives you a nice clean feel for each vehicle. Incredibly he does manage to stay on course and treat both vehicles fairly. Somehow he doesn't allow his own personal opinions to invade his rational thoughts and continues to provide expert analysis on some of the nicest cars in the world.

I watch Head 2 Head for one simple reason. It reminds me of what driving really is, it takes me back to the joy driving alongside the Ocean moving a manual transmission through 6 gears. Appreciating the thousands of parts all working in perfect unison to move you quickly from point A to point B. It reminds of how just how much of a sport driving really is and oh yeah the cars!
