U.S. formula One Grand Prix Live On NBC - Will Mercedes Dominate In 2014

U.S. Formula One Grand Prix – Live On NBC

This article is dedicated to the one and “Speed king” Sir Malcom Campbell

 1st man ever to travel 300 Miles Per Hour on land

           The annual world-wide 3-day qualifying, practice and racing event held usually over Friday & Saturday culminating Sunday Evening with the actual race. Openly displaying some of the most prestigious names in automotive history, entrenched deep in racing tradition they give us the opportunity to see what Automotive engineering and Technology can really achieve when slightly pushed to limitations. The event initiates with a series of practice and qualifying sessions taking place over the 1st 2 days of the event (Friday & Saturday) and culminates Sunday Afternoon/Evening in the actual race. For 2014 we get the privilege of seeing Formula One Grand Prix LIVE on NBC.
           This years practice and qualifying sessions seemed to hold a lot more excitement than years past. Much more unpredictability it seemed. Overall Practice and Qualifying had went exceptionally well for 2014. This years F1 Qualifying was seen by many fast-paced exciting, very well presented by NBC. Speed, speed, speed is what its all about and Formula One is the epitome of pure unfiltered speed. Sponsored since 2013 by Rolex, the Formula One Race has over the last few years become a very exciting 3-Day racing event with true automotive tradition and heritage rising to the top to show some of the most spectacular Automotive competition ever seen on a race track.
Rolex, the time-piece maker is no stranger to the Track. Unofficially Rolex has been keeping race times, track times, test times and more since the 1930's. It was Rolex that kept the official time back when Speed-King Sir Malcom Campbell exceeded 300MPH in his specially built BLUEBIRD land speed machine at Bonneville flats back in 1935. Fortunately Formula One Racing has come a long way seemingly on all levels since back then. Since the days of the tube-shaped Cigar racers of the 1930's that circled the track at speeds we all take for granted in everyday life today. Formula One has since evolved into something special. Today's Formula racers simply put, sitting at a perfect standstill is considered on of the top 3 most technologically advanced pieces of machinery on the planet.
The Race...the culmination of events, the actual race represents a perfect one of a kind combination of;
  • Skill
  • Safety
  • Speed
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Design
A Formula One racer under the control of a professional Driver attempting hundreds maybe thousands times a second to keep all these elements in perfect synchronous harmony...all while traveling at 200 MILES PER HOUR, this is Formula One Racing.

Formula - One Racing 2014 Mercedes Dominance

           Mercedes it seems has once again chosen to show its Automotive perfection in engineering by dominating the TOP 4 slots in Formula-One. Rosberg surprisingly chose this year to show what a perfect combination both him and Mercedes can be. Rosberg easily beat out team-mate Lewis Hamilton to earn “Pole” in Austin. Mercedes it seems has chosen 2014 to “Show-Off” literally. After all the smoke cleared and the positions had been announced, of the 18 allotted in 2014. Mercedes had amazingly had an affiliation with 8 of them! This is tradition, honor historical engineering... Mercedes-Benz racing 2014.
Seemingly the real question is are we living in a parallel universe? Are we on an inside out upside down “Formula-One” planet where Ferrari, Ferrari gets no mention until POS#6!!! Is qualifying a mirror of the race or will Formula-One do as it always does and provide us all with a pleasant surpise? Can we look forward to this Sunday's race being one for the record books? Is this a Mercedes-Benz weekend or will we be pleasantly be surprised come Sunday? Do we have to respect the current Rosberg-Hamilton dominance or will a new unknown emerge and shock the entire racing world!! We'll all find out this Sunday...Tune into NBC and enjoy!
